Lions Quest: Supporting All Learners
According to CASEL (Collaborative for Academic Social and Emotional Learning), social and emotional learning (SEL) helps improve educational outcomes by fostering strong partnerships between schools, families, and communities. These partnerships support positive learning environments where relationships are built on trust, instruction is meaningful, and continuous growth is encouraged.
Through our work—funded in part by Lions Clubs International Foundation and the NoVo Foundation—Lions Quest has made important strides in helping schools and communities implement SEL to strengthen programs that support healthy youth development.
Lions Quest provides technical assistance to help schools partner with peers, local organizations, and behavioral health providers to expand access to professional development for educators and student supports that meet the needs of the whole child—both in school and in the wider community.
As stated by CASEL, SEL can be a powerful tool for helping schools become places where all students feel connected, respected, and motivated to succeed. The Lions Quest approach supports this by creating a classroom environment where no one is left out—where every student is seen as important, valued, and capable of making meaningful contributions.
